Registered Social Worker #831868

A fierce, heart-led social worker with deep roots in the gender-based violence sector, Julie has spent years walking alongside women and youth as they rebuild after abuse. From emergency shelters to courtrooms, transitional housing to group therapy, she’s been there—holding space, advocating hard, and reminding survivors of their power every step of the way.

A self-proclaimed queen of group therapy (and honestly, no one’s arguing), Julie brings warmth, structure, and a gift for making hard conversations feel possible—and even a little bit fun. Whether supporting folks healing from eating disorders, intimate partner violence, or growing up in chaos, she builds spaces where people feel seen, safe, and capable of change.

Julie also works closely with youth and caregivers to untangle messy family dynamics and build something stronger: connection, belonging, and a new sense of home. Her practice is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in the messy, beautiful reality of healing.

Outside of IPV and youth work, Julie has previously supported individuals navigating chronic homelessness, complex mental health, and systemic barriers—including linguistic minorities accessing justice. She also brings lived and clinical expertise to clients unpacking religious trauma and deconstructing high-demand faith systems.

👩‍❤️‍👨 Couples Therapy

Navigating relationships can be tough! I work with couples to help them build stronger communication, deeper connection, and mutual understanding, even when things feel complicated.

👑 Queen of Group Therapy

Group therapy is where the magic happens! I’ve run countless groups, creating a space where people can share, learn, and grow together.

🧠 Eating disorder support

I've worked with individuals navigating eating disorders, helping them develop a healthy relationship with food, body image, and self-worth.

🙌 Navigating religious trauma & faith deconstruction

For those untangling their relationship with faith, I provide a safe space to explore religious trauma and support healing from experiences that no longer serve you.

💬 Advocating for social justice & accessible mental health care

I’m passionate about breaking down barriers to mental health care—especially for marginalized communities. Everyone deserves access to support, no matter where they come from.

Outside the Therapy Room

When I’m not supporting clients, you can find me pulling walls of clay at the pottery studio, swimming laps at the pool, hanging with my ex-Mormon besties, or rewatching Brooklyn Nine-Nine for the 1000th time (because it’s still hilarious).
