In this course, we dive into the cycle of abuse to make sure that you can recognize it as it happens in real time and step out of the cycle. In knowing this information, you can finally step off of the merry-go-round of the relationship. 

As a survivor, you may notice that your mental health has been impacted by your experience in the relationship. Sometimes the emotional scars from the relationship remain after many years.

In this course you will have the chance to learn about how intimate partner violence can impact your mental health. We review some of the typical challenges that people have following traumatic experiences and relationships. 

We also discuss how intimate partner violence is a political issue and how to engage people in conversations around this topic. We hope to one day see a world where people bring intimate partner violence to the ballot box.

We discuss how to engage with our political system to evoke change. We encourage participants to find ways to talk about this social issue with their social supports and to assist in raising awareness to the public of intimate partner violence. We are stronger together.
